The ideal person will be proactive and professional in her/his approach, with experience in complex solution selling. The role will be to close a number (in excess of 15) substantial new business opportunities with major corporates and advertising/PR agencies in the UK, European and USA market places (in that order) within an initial 12 month period. To achieve this will require selling Adoreboard’s technology solution to add business value to customers firms.

Initially this will require developing a relationship with key individuals at director level – usually chief marketing, data or insights officers – and then expanding out to other parts of the organisation. You will be comfortable selling complex solutions to help a business achieve their commercial goals. The role will enable you to actively support – and advise – customers on the benefits that Adoreboard can bring to them.

This is a comprehensive role ranging from the development and management of a sales pipeline to ensuring the effective on-boarding of bespoke services for customers. The successful applicant will be the initial point of contact for all those engaging with Adoreboard so their ability to understand business issues, empathise with them and sell our unique capabilities will be paramount. Work rate will also be crucial. Developing your own sales plan and the ability to prioritise working through contacts quickly and effectively is important.

SKILLS

  • Will be comfortable selling complex solutions on a B2B basis
  • Structured approach to selling
  • Ability to manage selling into complex organisations
  • Ability to quickly grasp a complex solution set that is leading edge and adds enormous value to the prospect client
  • An ability to manage a sales pipeline with a realistic understanding of where they are in the process in each deal
  • Very strong on selling an initial concept, then building and growing the relationship with senior contacts resulting in further business/value add
  • Person must have the potential over time to recruit, develop and lead a sales team
  • Ability to quickly and effectively understand prospect needs and tailor the sales discussion to them
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Able to close business, secure the commercial deal and set up the customer engagement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Rigorous approach with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to build strong relationships with different teams – must be a team player
  • It would be advantageous to be proficient in the use of CRM systems
  • Able to prioritise and focus
  • Very clear and articulate organisational skills are required
  • Able to act as the customer advocate inside the company

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of SaaS products and services
  • Knowledge of online configuration tools
  • Knowledge of selling skills and techniques
  • Previous experience of working in a solution sales role within a software solutions environment or target sectors
  • Experience of providing solutions to technical problems and dealing with customer issues and questions
  • Demonstrable ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proof of ability to consistently deliver against challenging sales targets in a fast moving, start up environment

EXPERIENCE

  • University degree and/or experience in an equivalent position in a comparable industry
  • 4-5 years experience in a solution sales or account management role
  • Previous experience of working in a solution sales role within a software solutions environment or target sectors
  • Experience of providing solutions to technical problems and dealing with customer issues and questions
  • Demonstrable ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proof of ability to consistently deliver against challenging sales targets in a fast moving, start up environment
